Medical Services

Siskiyou County benefits from a multitude of state-of-the art health facilities with over 75 physicians and surgeons. Within the county are two medical centers, one in the City of Mt. Shasta with 55 total bed capacity; technologies include MRI, 16-slice CT, Mammography/CAD, Nuclear Medicine, Linear Accelerator, and Ultrasound. Mercy Medical Center offers pathology, pharmacy, and diagnostic laboratory services. The Center is also home to health and hospice services, and offers three out patient physical rehabilitation facilities including a cancer treatment center.

The county has available two convalescent hospitals, five assisted living centers, 7 out patient physical rehabilitation facilities, 10 community clinics, 13 psychologists, and numerous home health agencies, 3 facilities serving people with developmental disabilities, 28 dentists, 8 optometrists, 27 chiropractors, and 12 physical therapists.
