The Dunsmuir Mercantile Company opened in September of 2008 in the newly-restored I.R. Wells Building in historic downtown Dunsmuir. Owners Peter Arth and Debra Day scour the continent searching for one of a kind items to
delight the eye. It’s worth the trip just to look around.
We offer the best of Americana from the 1850s
to the 1950s from utilitarian objects to folk art,
vintage toys, fishing gear, steam-era railroad
treasures, and erotica; as well as a large
collection of stained and beveled windows
featuring the finest glassmaking skills of the
Victorian, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Arts and
Crafts eras.
